CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, AIIMS Bhopal organized a special blood donation camp. The event was led by Executive Director Dr. Ajai Singh and was supported by the Department of Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank, Resident Doctors’ Welfare Council, Nursing Council, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
The camp was held at the Blood Centre of AIIMS Bhopal and ran from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. ITBP personnel, medical students, doctors, and other staff members actively participated in the camp. A total of 101 individuals voluntarily donated blood and were honored with certificates of appreciation.
The chief guest of the event was Colonel Ajit Kumar. Distinguished guests from ITBP included Mr. Sanjeev Raina (IG), Shashi Meher (Deputy IG), and Girish Chandra Upadhyay (IG), who addressed the gathering, highlighted the importance of blood donation, and shared their personal experiences.
On this occasion, competitions such as poster making, slogan writing, short film production, and quizzes were held, in which over 100 participants took part. The winners were felicitated.
Dr. Ajai Singh described the event as a noble initiative dedicated to humanity. He expressed gratitude to all participants and reaffirmed the commitment to organizing such events in the future.
