CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : AIIMS Bhopal, under the Digital India Mission and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, has launched a major initiative to make healthcare fully patient-centric and digitally empowered through the ‘AIIMS Bhopal Swasthya App’. Under the leadership of Prof. Ajai Singh, the institute has successfully implemented digital innovation within the healthcare system.
This mobile app acts as a seamless digital bridge between patients and the hospital. It enables patients to book appointments online without waiting in queues, view lab reports, check doctor availability and OPD schedules, and access digital prescriptions directly on the app.
To support this transformation, AIIMS Bhopal has established a dedicated Digital Health Team that trains patients to use the app. The hospital has also implemented ABHA ID-based counters, scan-and-share functionality, and digital registration systems within the premises.
So far, over 1.7 lakh ABHA IDs have been generated, 5.45 lakh IDs have been linked, and more than 3.32 lakh appointments have been booked via the app.
Prof. Ajai Singh stated, “Our goal is to build a transparent, efficient, and accountable healthcare system that fulfills the vision of Digital India.” The app is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
