CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal, under the leadership of its Executive Director Prof. Ajay Singh, achieved another milestone in academic innovation and research. The Department of Pediatrics, in collaboration with the Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, organized a three-day national workshop titled “Meta Mastery: Workshop on Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.”
The objective of the workshop was to provide early-stage researchers, clinicians, and postgraduate students with essential scientific training for evidence-based medicine. The inaugural session began with a lamp-lighting ceremony and welcome address, where the Head of the Pediatrics Department emphasized the relevance of systematic reviews and meta-analysis in modern clinical research.

Chanchal Goyal, Senior Scientist from the Department of Health Research, introduced the “Technical Resource Centre (TRC)” initiative and highlighted that AIIMS Bhopal’s selection among 27 institutions nationwide reflects its strong academic and research capabilities.
Prof. Ajay Singh noted that in a diverse country like India, there is a crucial need for evidence-based guidelines that can be practically implemented across all levels of healthcare. The workshop provided participants not only with theoretical knowledge but also hands-on practical training. He called the event a commendable initiative that will give new direction to medical research.
