CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal and CMHO Conduct Pediatric Training Program Under Muskaan Initiative
Under the guidance of Executive Director Dr. Ajay Singh, the Hospital Infection Control Committee (HICC) of AIIMS Bhopal, in collaboration with the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Bhopal, organized an orientation and training program for pediatricians, nursing officers, and feeding demonstrators working in district hospitals, civil hospitals, and community health centers.
While inaugurating the program, Dr. Ajay Singh emphasized the importance of interactive sessions to discuss the challenges faced by healthcare workers (HCWs) and stressed the need for regular training to improve the quality of neonatal and pediatric healthcare services.
Bhopal CMHO, Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, expressed gratitude to AIIMS Bhopal for its support in the Muskaan Initiative, which focuses on infection control and prevention practices. He also appreciated the efforts of AIIMS Bhopal’s Hospital Infection Control Team, who served as trainers in this program.
This training was conducted under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) framework, introducing healthcare workers to advanced care techniques, proper nutrition practices, latest treatment protocols, and infection control measures.
The initiative aims to reduce infant mortality rates and enhance the overall quality of pediatric healthcare services. This joint effort reflects AIIMS Bhopal’s commitment to strengthening pediatric care services in the region and achieving excellence in healthcare delivery.
