CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : AIIMS Bhopal is introducing several new initiatives to improve the experience of patients and their attendants. For patients coming from distant areas, residential facilities such as Rain Basera and Vishramalaya have been arranged, with accommodation capacity for 350–400 people. These centers also provide free meals and access to clean restrooms. Across the campus, eco-friendly earthen pots supply clean drinking water.

The hospital has deployed “May I Help You” security staff to guide patients to necessary facilities, supported by clear signboards for directions. A runner service has also been launched to ensure quick transportation of samples from wards to the laboratory and timely delivery of medicines from the Amrit Pharmacy to patients’ beds. In emergencies, a 24×7 ambulance service is available, equipped with both Basic and Advanced Life Support systems.

AIIMS Bhopal is also focusing on the mental and spiritual well-being of patients and their attendants. A multi-faith prayer center has been set up in the IPD area, while lush green gardens across the campus offer a peaceful environment. The Gandhi Gallery acquaints visitors with the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

For patient nutrition, a fully automated diet kitchen has been established, ensuring meals are prepared as per medical requirements. Through these initiatives, AIIMS Bhopal has built a patient-centric environment where quality healthcare, comfort, and convenience are provided together. This step further strengthens the hospital’s commitment to patient welfare.
