CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal, under the guidance of Executive Director Prof. Ajay Singh, has achieved a significant medical milestone by successfully performing a complex MRI procedure on a newborn. The infant had been referred to AIIMS Bhopal due to a suspected neurological condition. However, initial examinations after admission failed to confirm the issue, necessitating an MRI for further evaluation.

Considering the fragile condition of the newborn, the MRI team promptly scheduled the scan. It is well known that the loud noise and environment of an MRI machine can be extremely challenging for newborns.

In light of these challenges, an experienced medical team at AIIMS Bhopal closely monitored the infant inside the MRI suite for approximately 45 minutes and successfully completed the procedure. Typically, most neurological conditions in newborns are diagnosed using ultrasound, but an MRI is conducted when required.

At AIIMS Bhopal, equitable and appropriate utilization of medical resources is ensured for every patient. On this occasion, Prof. Singh stated, “At AIIMS Bhopal, we are committed to providing the highest standard of medical care to every patient. The special arrangements made for this newborn reflect our dedication and spirit of service. This case exemplifies that the level of care at AIIMS Bhopal is not only technically advanced but also compassionate and human-centric.”
