This mobile app will identify oral cancer, restricted mouth opening, and other severe oral diseases within minutes. The app will maintain complete confidentiality of users’ information and also raise awareness about the harmful effects of substances like tobacco.

The research is being led by Dr. Anshul Rai from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, with Dr. Saikat Das, Dr. Deepti Joshi, Dr. Ankur Joshi, and Dr. Abhinav Singh as co-investigators.

The research budget includes the salary for a Junior Research Fellow, consumables, travel, and publication expenses. The study will be conducted on 1,000 individuals, and a comprehensive report will be submitted to the government. Prof. Ajay Singh described the project as a significant step in the fight against oral cancer and extended his best wishes to the team.

This app will be the first of its kind in the country to assist in early detection and prevention of cancer using digital technology.
