CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Ajay Singh, the institute organized a series of awareness programs to mark World AIDS Day 2024. These initiatives aimed to educate the public about Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), associated diseases, and prevention measures.

During the event, staff from AIIMS Bhopal’s ART (Anti-Retroviral Therapy) Center provided information on needle stick injuries and the risks associated with them. A large gathering of faculty, residents, staff, students, and patients participated in the program, gaining valuable insights into HIV/AIDS and its prevention.

Addressing the attendees, Director Singh emphasized the importance of awareness and prevention in combating HIV/AIDS. He stated, “HIV/AIDS is not just a medical challenge but also a social one. Awareness and education are the most effective tools to fight this disease.”

Dean of Academics, Prof. Rajneesh Joshi, presented a special postal stamp exhibition during the program. ART Incharge Prof. Seema Mahant and Nodal Officer Sagar Khandanga led the awareness session, providing critical information about the disease, prevention strategies, and the importance of timely treatment.

The event served as an effective platform for raising awareness and equipping attendees with practical knowledge about HIV/AIDS prevention and management.
