CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal and Patanjali Research Foundation Trust. This collaboration aims to steer health research, education, and innovation in a new direction by integrating modern medical science with ancient Ayurvedic knowledge. The initiative, led by AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director Dr. Ajay Singh, is intended to establish the Indian system of medicine on a scientific basis.

Under the agreement, joint research will be conducted on conditions such as fatty liver, allergies, liver disorders, lifestyle-related diseases, respiratory issues, kidney disorders, and neurological conditions. There was also detailed discussion on the clinical controlled trials of Patanjali’s evidence-based Ayurvedic medicines — Livogrit and Bronkhome.

On behalf of Patanjali, Chief Scientist Dr. Anurag Varshney was present and described the initiative as a significant step inspired by Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna toward giving Ayurveda global recognition.

Prof. Ajay Singh stated that this agreement marks a new beginning in providing holistic, accessible, and effective healthcare solutions. He also announced the establishment of the state’s largest herbal garden within the AIIMS campus.

The event was attended by Dean (Research) Dr. Rehan-ul-Haq, Dean (Academics) Dr. Rajneesh Joshi, Dr. Ashok Kumar, and several senior officials.
