CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India Express / ITDC News Bhopal: The Radiodiagnosis Department of AIIMS Bhopal continues to strengthen healthcare services and provide better treatment to patients. As part of this journey, the department celebrated its Foundation Day and organized a special Continuing Medical Education (CME) program.
Around 100 participants attended the event, including faculty members, resident doctors, alumni, guest speakers, radiographer technicians, and other supporting staff. The highlight of the program was a lecture by Dr. Suyash Kulkarni, Head of Interventional Radiology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, who delivered an insightful session on “Onco-Imaging and Interventions.” This subject is particularly focused on cancer detection and modern treatment methods, offering patients the possibility of timely and effective treatment.

The program was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of A.K. Mahapatra (Chairperson, AIIMS Bhopal), Prof. Madhavanand Kar (Executive Director, AIIMS Bhopal), Sandesh Jain (DDA), and the Dean (Academics). The Head of the Radiodiagnosis Department delivered the welcome address and shared the department’s journey of progress.
Prof. Mahapatra and Prof. Kar highlighted that radiological services are playing a transformative role in healthcare, and the Radiodiagnosis Department of AIIMS Bhopal is making significant contributions to patient care.
During the event, two radiographers were honored with the Best Radiographer Award for their outstanding contributions to healthcare services. Additionally, an interactive quiz was organized for resident doctors, which saw enthusiastic participation.
Participants appreciated the program, while the department conveyed its commitment to not only providing advanced technologies but also investing in continuous training of doctors and healthcare workers. This directly benefits patients by ensuring accurate diagnosis and timely treatment.
