CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Two Radiant Infant Warmer Beds, each worth approximately ₹1.5 lakhs, were donated to the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) department at AIIMS Bhopal. This donation was made by Jaideep Pungaliya and Mrs. Amrita Jain. AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Ajay Singh, expressed his gratitude for this humanitarian act and remarked that it is heartening to see how personal experiences inspire people to take meaningful steps for the welfare of others. These Radiant Infant Warmer Beds will play a crucial role in caring for newborns, especially those requiring special attention.
He added, “At AIIMS Bhopal, we are committed to providing the best medical services, and contributions like this help strengthen the capacity of our institute. I hope this kind of gesture inspires others in society to step forward and contribute to improving healthcare services. Their contribution will help save many lives.” During the event, Prof. Singh also distributed toys to children admitted in the ward, bringing smiles to their faces.
Radiant Infant Warmer Beds are essential medical devices for newborns, particularly useful when it is necessary to regulate the infant’s body temperature. These beds help stabilize the body temperature of newborns, especially those born prematurely, weak, or requiring post-operative care. They play a significant role in saving the lives of infants and contribute to their healthy development.
Jaideep Pungaliya shared, “Two years ago, when our child was born in Narsinghpur, there were complications, and we felt the need for a warmer bed, but it was unavailable. This experience led us to decide to donate these beds to AIIMS Bhopal so that other children do not face the same issue.”
CTVS department head, Yogesh Nivaria, stated, “Radiant Infant Warmer Beds are critical for newborns, especially for post-surgery care. This donation will allow us to provide high-quality care to more infants. We express our gratitude to the donors and hope that more people will come forward to contribute to the welfare of society.”
