CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal Successfully Concludes Five-Day Workshop on Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis under ‘SARANSHA’ Initiative
A five-day workshop on systematic review and meta-analysis, organized under the ‘SARANSHA’ (Systematic Analysis and Research Advancement in National Scientific Health) initiative, successfully concluded at AIIMS Bhopal. Led by Prof. Ajay Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, the workshop aimed to promote evidence-based medical research in India.
In his closing address, Prof. Singh stated, “Evidence-based research is the foundation of efficient and effective healthcare services. This workshop has not only enhanced research capabilities but also fostered collaborative learning. AIIMS Bhopal is committed to advancing health research and education in India.”
Participants from across the country gained practical skills in systematic review and meta-analysis, crucial for strengthening evidence-based research and improving healthcare practices and outcomes. Experts from institutions such as the Department of Health Research (ICMR-DHR), AIIMS Bhopal, Christian Medical College Vellore, and King George’s Medical College Lucknow praised the participants’ enthusiasm and active engagement. They emphasized the application of these techniques to address healthcare challenges.
Program Chair Amit Agarwal and Organizing Secretary Dr. Saikat Das highlighted the goals of the ‘SARANSHA’ initiative, stating, “This workshop aims to encourage high-quality research and develop evidence-based solutions for India-specific diseases. Supported by ICMR, this initiative is a significant step toward equipping Indian medical professionals with skills to contribute to global health research.”
The workshop provided an in-depth understanding of systematic review methodologies, meta-analysis techniques, and effective data analysis—critical tools in today’s evidence-based research landscape. Participants received certificates during the closing ceremony and resolved to apply their acquired knowledge and skills to enhance India’s health research and healthcare services.
