This annual event highlighted the institution’s significant progress in medical research and innovation over the past year.

The event was graced by Prof. Atul Goel, Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Rashmi Kumar, former Head of Pediatrics at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, as the Guest of Honor. Prof. Goel commended AIIMS Bhopal for its remarkable advancements in medical research and inspired young researchers to focus on innovations benefiting society. Dr. Rashmi Kumar emphasized the revolutionary role of institutions like AIIMS Bhopal in transforming medical research and education in India.

AIIMS Bhopal Chairperson Sunil Malik expressed pride in the event, describing it as a moment to celebrate the contributions of researchers and their groundbreaking work. Dr. Ashok Kumar studied genetic variations in miRNA to understand susceptibility to oral squamous cell carcinoma in Central India.

Sukhesh Mukherjee identified potential inhibitors for breast cancer therapy through in-silico screening of bioactive compounds in Moringa oleifera.

Dr. Debasis Biswas investigated immune responses driving dengue fever’s pathogenesis.

Dr. S.R.A.N. Bhushanam conducted a study on predicting complex airways using pre-operative ultrasounds for safer surgical practices.

Dr. Gunjan Chouksey studied oral health-related quality of life among cancer patients undergoing maxillary reconstruction post-COVID-19 mucormycosis.
