CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In accordance with the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, AIIMS Bhopal is organizing various programs under the Vigilance Awareness Campaign until November 15, 2024. As part of this, the first lecture on the topic “Ethics and Governance” was held today.
On this occasion, AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Ajay Singh remarked, “Vigilance awareness plays a crucial role in strengthening the good governance and ethical values of our institution. Through this campaign, we all have the opportunity to ensure transparency and accountability in our actions. AIIMS Bhopal is fully committed to these ethical principles, and programs like these further reinforce our dedication.”
The lecture on “Ethics and Governance” was delivered by Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Director of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis. Mr. Gupta elaborated on the vital role of ethics in governance, stating, “Ethical standards are the foundation of any successful and respected institution. Governance based on ethical values ensures that all stakeholders—whether they are patients, staff, or the broader community—can trust the institution’s decisions and actions. Ethical governance promotes a culture of fairness and responsibility at all levels, inspiring staff to follow the right path, no matter how many challenges they face. By adhering to ethical standards, institutions create an environment of accountability where both decision-makers and staff are responsible for their actions.”
In his vote of thanks, Colonel Dr. Ajit Kumar said, “Awareness programs like this inspire us to move in the right direction. We at AIIMS Bhopal are committed to prioritizing ethics in vigilance awareness and policymaking.”
Further lectures and programs will be held as part of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign, aimed at strengthening governance and transparency within the institution. The event was attended by senior faculty members, nursing staff, and other senior officials of AIIMS Bhopal.
