CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal celebrated World Homeopathy Day under the guidance of Executive Director Ajay Singh, to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathic medicine. The event emphasized the relevance and contributions of homeopathy in contemporary healthcare.
The Homeopathy Unit under the Department of AYUSH at AIIMS Bhopal provides integrated and personalized medical services for various conditions including skin diseases, pediatrics, allergies, prostate enlargement, and mental health issues. Located in the Dhanvantari Building, the unit works in coordination with modern medical systems.
Director Ashish Kumar Dixit shared that, in collaboration with the ENT Department, a study is being conducted on over 200 patients with allergic rhinitis, and the preliminary results are promising. Another study on anal fissures, in collaboration with the General Surgery Department, has been successfully completed and is set to be published in an international journal soon.
Additionally, a completed study on tinea (fungal infections) has shown positive results, and pre-clinical research on fatty liver is about to begin in collaboration with the Biochemistry Department.
Director Ajay Singh stressed the need for multidisciplinary research and holistic, patient-centric care, reaffirming AIIMS Bhopal’s commitment to promoting AYUSH-based research and integrated healthcare services.
