CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “Considering the increasing heat, AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Ajay Singh, has issued directives for special arrangements to facilitate patients. Due to the continuously rising temperatures over the past few days, there has been a significant increase in the number of patients experiencing dehydration, fever, fatigue, weakness, vomiting, and diarrhea. In the last three days alone, the number of patients in the Medicine Department’s OPD was 653, 462, and 723, respectively. Given the growing number of patients, the doctors in AIIMS Bhopal’s Medicine Department are continuously attending to them. Hospital staff are assisting patients from registration to reaching the concerned doctor to ensure they face no issues upon arrival.
Professor Rajneesh Joshi, head of the Medicine Department, has advised people to take certain precautions during this hot season. These include covering the body when going out in the sun, consuming as many fluids as possible, doing light exercise, and avoiding sun exposure unless necessary. Individuals with diabetes or blood pressure issues need to be especially careful. AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Professor Ajay Singh, advised people to take special precautions considering the rising temperatures and mentioned that by following small tips, one can stay healthy.”
