CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The AIIMS CRE-5 examination was cancelled after technical and power-related faults surfaced once again at the iON Digital Zone examination centre in Sitapura, Jaipur. Candidates, upset over server and electricity problems during the examination, protested outside the centre and demanded that the exam be conducted again.
The matter is being seen as serious because power and technical problems had also been reported at the same centre a day earlier during the NEET-PG 2026 examination. That examination was also cancelled, and a re-exam for the affected candidates was scheduled for September 5. With similar difficulties emerging again the very next day during the AIIMS CRE-5 examination, questions are now being raised over the arrangements at the examination centre.
According to reports, the AIIMS CRE-5 examination could not begin at the scheduled time. A server-related problem caused a delay of about 30 minutes. Even after the examination started, technical disruptions continued, causing difficulty for candidates in answering questions. Angry candidates staged a protest outside the examination centre.
AIIMS has decided to give the affected candidates another opportunity to take the examination. The CRE-5 re-exam will be held on September 7, 2026. Further information and necessary instructions related to the examination will be provided to the affected candidates through official channels.
The disruption of two important national examinations at the same centre on two consecutive days has raised serious questions about the reliability of examination arrangements and technical infrastructure. Candidates said that power, server and backup systems for national-level examinations must be fully robust so that a technical fault does not affect any candidate’s future.
