CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh, an awareness camp on organ donation was organized at Sagar Public School. The event featured detailed presentations by the Departments of Anesthesia, Urology, and Cardiac Surgery at AIIMS, sharing information about various organ transplants with the students. The students actively participated in various quiz competitions during the program.
This initiative was part of the organ donation month organized by the Government of India to raise awareness about organ transplants. AIIMS is running a public awareness campaign on organ donation and encouraged students to inspire not only their families but also their neighbors and relatives to join the campaign. Students were also advised to visit the Government of India’s official website to pledge for organ donation.
Prof. Singh emphasized that organ donation not only gives life to an individual but also to an entire family. AIIMS is conducting such events to effectively promote organ transplantation in the country and state.
