CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Executive Professor Ajay Singh of AIIMS continually promotes a culture of academic excellence and knowledge-sharing among faculty and students. Under his guidance, AIIMS has achieved remarkable milestones on various academic platforms. Recently, four students from the MBBS 2020 and 2021 batches of AIIMS participated in the Summer School of Oncology organized by the University of Groningen in collaboration with the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) in the Netherlands. The selected students were awarded full scholarships in recognition of their academic achievements in the field of medicine.
During the program, the students attended advanced workshops on suturing techniques and laparoscopic practice, receiving expert guidance to enhance their surgical skills. They also participated in comprehensive lectures on different types of cancer and treatments, gaining insights into the latest advancements in oncology. Interactions with leading oncologists and researchers provided them with knowledge about future cancer treatments. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the students observed the Dutch medical system by interacting with patients.
Upon returning from the Netherlands, the students met with Professor Ajay Singh at AIIMS and shared their experiences. Professor Singh appreciated their remarkable achievements and congratulated them warmly. He stated, “The participation of our students in such prestigious programs not only highlights their individual talent but also reflects the high quality of education and training provided at AIIMS. We are proud of their accomplishments and confident that they will make significant contributions to the field of medicine both in India and internationally.”
