CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A major security alert was triggered at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport when a bomb threat led to the grounding of three international flights. A New York-bound Air India flight and two Indigo flights destined for the Middle East were immediately halted. The bomb scare prompted an extensive security sweep,
involving airport authorities, bomb disposal squads, and law enforcement agencies. Passengers were evacuated, and thorough searches were conducted on the aircraft, baggage, and airport premises.
The security operation caused significant flight delays, but authorities ensured that all necessary precautions were taken. Initial investigations revealed that the threat was likely a hoax, but the situation remains under close scrutiny as airport operations gradually return to normal. No explosives were found, and authorities are now investigating the source of the threat.
