CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: An Industry-Institution Meet and NATS Workshop was organized at the Vanmali Auditorium of SCOPE Global Skills University under the joint aegis of AISECT and the Board of Apprenticeship Training, Mumbai (BOAT WR). Key guests included Assistant Director of the Board of Apprenticeship Training, Vikram Deshmukh, Professor B.L. Gupta from NITTTR, Chancellor of SCOPE Global Skills University, Siddharth Chaturvedi, and Vice Chancellor Ajay Bhushan. Other notable attendees were SGSU Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha and AISECT National Placement Head, Uddipan Chatterjee. More than 50 industries and institutions from Madhya Pradesh participated in the event.
In his speech, Vikram Deshmukh explained the concept of apprenticeships, highlighting that when students learn technical tasks or work with machinery in an industry, it is called an apprenticeship. He also provided insights into the work being done by the Board of Apprenticeship through a presentation, emphasizing the importance of on-the-job training and modular training. Additionally, he demonstrated the NATS portal and explained its functionality to the industry and institution participants.
Professor B.L. Gupta shared information about the new curriculum added to NATS by NITTTR, elaborating on employability and skills development.
Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi of SCOPE Global Skills University introduced the university and discussed AISECT’s work in the field of apprenticeships. Vice Chancellor Ajay Bhushan highlighted the industry-integrated and skill-based courses offered at the university.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by AISECT National Placement Head, Uddipan Chatterjee.
