CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: With the aim of encouraging sporting talent and boosting their morale, the AISECT University Group organized the grand “Sports Achievers Award 2025.” The event was jointly hosted by Rabindranath Tagore University and Scope Global Skills University, where players and coaches who had excelled at the national and international levels were felicitated.

The Chief Guest on this occasion was Madhya Pradesh’s Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Vishvas Sarang. Distinguished guests included Arjuna awardee and former Olympian Ashok Dhyanchand, Arjuna awardee and 1983 Cricket World Cup winner Madan Lal Sharma, Jalaj Chaturvedi, and District Sports Officer Raisen. The program was presided over by Siddharth Chaturvedi, Executive Vice President of the AISECT Group and Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University.

In the ceremony, 88 players and 11 coaches representing more than 10 sports were honored with cash prizes and mementos. Sports included hockey, judo, Paralympics, shooting, boxing, sailing, kayaking, wrestling, rowing, Mallakhamb, karate, wushu, athletics, and fencing. Players received cash awards ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹30,000.

Among the honored athletes were talented names such as Ankit Pal, Aditi Maheshwari, and Karmanpreet Kaur (hockey), Vanshika Tiwari, Mansi Raghuvanshi, and Shresth Sisodia (shooting), Mallika Mor (boxing), para-athlete Laxmi, Aman Singh (rowing), and Pranav Kori (Mallakhamb). Eleven coaches were also recognized for their valuable contributions.

On this occasion, Chief Guest Vishvas Sarang congratulated the players and said that sports not only strengthen a person physically but also mentally and socially. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he urged the youth to contribute to nation-building through sports.

Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi highlighted that the AISECT Group has been consistently working for the development of sports by establishing academies, organizing tournaments, conducting research, and providing assistance to economically weaker players. Ashok Dhyanchand and Madan Lal Sharma also shared their experiences to inspire the players. This event proved to be a significant initiative by the AISECT University Group in motivating athletes and promoting sports culture.
