/ Agencies:
BJP MLA Ajay Chandrakar has targeted the opposition over the show of opposition unity in Chhattisgarh. He described Abhijeet and Ashutosh as agents of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and questioned their role. Chandrakar also took a dig at the low turnout at the protest. He said senior opposition leaders had gathered, yet many chairs at the programme remained empty.
Commenting on efforts by opposition parties to come together, Ajay Chandrakar said the expected crowd could not be mobilised despite the presence of senior leaders. His statement is being seen as the BJP’s political response to the opposition unity event.
Chandrakar also made a sharp remark about Abhijeet and Ashutosh, calling them AAP agents. However, this is his political allegation. If responses from the individuals concerned or the opposition parties come forward, the other side of the matter will also become clear.
Political statements have intensified in the state over the opposition unity protest and the presence of leaders who attended it.
