CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : In-Charge Minister of Panna district and Minister for Higher Education, Technical Education, and AYUSH, Inder Singh Parmar, said that the life of Lord Shri Krishna gives society a new direction and conveys the message of truth’s victory for humanity. The teachings of the Bhagavad Gita are just as relevant today as they were 5,037 years ago. Shri Parmar was addressing the Shri Krishna Janmotsav program organized on the occasion of Janmashtami at the Government College of Ajaygarh. He extended festival greetings to everyone and emphasized the importance of karma (action).

On his first visit to Ajaygarh College, the In-Charge Minister received a warm welcome. During the visit, he inspected the college and gave instructions for boundary wall construction, availability of furniture, commencement of postgraduate classes, and filling of vacant posts. He assured that even after regular faculty appointments, guest lecturers would not be deprived of services but instead provided opportunities in other colleges. He also announced the introduction of the Commerce Faculty at the undergraduate level.

Shri Parmar further said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, several schemes are being run for the upliftment of the poor and deprived sections. With the establishment of Sandipani Vidyalayas, children from economically weaker families are receiving modern education comparable to public schools. Similarly, through PM College of Excellence, efforts are being made to improve the quality of higher education.

He explained that under the new education policy, children will get opportunities to learn through play, reducing the burden of school bags and homework. In higher education, students will have the freedom to choose subjects from different faculties. Additionally, at the undergraduate level, research and employment-oriented courses are being introduced.

In the program, MLA and former minister Brijendra Pratap Singh highlighted the district’s academic achievements and stressed the need for new faculties and increased seat capacity. The In-Charge Minister also planted a sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree in the Name of Mother) campaign at Chhatrasal College campus.

The event was attended in large numbers by District Panchayat President Meena Raje, Municipal President Meena Pandey, Collector Suresh Kumar, SP Sai Krishna S Thota, public representatives, faculty members, and students.
