CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal/ Ujjain: The final phase of the selection process for the upcoming Akashvani (All India Radio) center in the holy city of Mahakal, Ujjain, has begun. After the written examination, a voice test audition was conducted on Thursday. At the Akashvani Broadcasting Center in Nanakheda, Ujjain, voice tests were held for over 60 participants who qualified in the written exam, as well as for 40 participants shortlisted for the Yuvavani program.
It is noteworthy that out of 100 applicants, the successful candidates from the written test were invited for the voice test audition. The entire process will be completed by August 31.
Rajesh Bhatt, Program Head of All India Radio, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, informed that those who clear the voice test from the 60 written-qualified participants will be called for a personal interview. Meanwhile, around 40 youths selected directly for the Yuvavani program also underwent their voice tests.
Bhatt further stated that once all stages of the selection process are completed, training for the selected participants will begin next week. From September 1 onwards, when the Akashvani Ujjain center formally begins broadcasting, these participants will actively engage as announcers in programs such as Gramsabha, Mahila Sabha, Yuvavani, and other shows, directly connecting with listeners.
He also added that before the Ujjain Akashvani center officially begins broadcasting, successful participants will receive specialized training. This will cover regional art, culture, and Malwi traditions, folk tales, devotional song traditions, the speech style of temple priests, riverside culture of the Shipra, knowledge about farmers and rural life, weather and market price updates, simplified awareness about government schemes, and insights into the Simhastha Mahaparva and the ancient heritage of Ujjain.
