CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The much-awaited film ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ starring actor Akshay Kumar has officially been announced. The original film ‘Kesari’, released in 2019, had left audiences emotional. Now its sequel, which has been in buzz for quite some time, is finally coming. The film is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Just two days ago, Karan had hinted that this is going to be a very important film. Now, the title, teaser release date, and official release date have all been announced.
Akshay Kumar shared a video on social media. The clip shows bullet marks on a wall, with the words ‘The Brave Colour of Revolution’ written in the background. This is followed by the title ‘Kesari Chapter 2’. In the caption, Akshay wrote: “Some battles are fought without weapons. ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ teaser drops on March 24. The film will release worldwide on April 18.”
The first film ‘Kesari’ depicted the courage and sacrifice of 21 Sikh soldiers and just completed six years since its release. The film had earned over ₹200 crores and Akshay Kumar’s performance was highly praised. Parineeti Chopra played the female lead in the original.
‘Kesari Chapter 2’ will portray the untold story of Jallianwala Bagh, and will feature Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, and Ananya Panday in lead roles. This marks the first time the trio will be seen together. Earlier this year, Akshay’s film ‘Sky Force’ also performed well. In addition, ‘Jolly LLB 3’ has already been announced.
