CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Department of Posts, India, is organizing a letter-writing competition under the “All India Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign” for the year 2024-25, which will continue until December 14, 2024.
The theme for this year’s competition is “The Joy of Writing: Importance of Letters in a Digital Age.” The competition is open to all age groups, divided into two categories: under 18 years and above 18 years.
In these two categories, there are two sub-categories: Inland Letter (maximum 500 words) and Envelope (maximum 1000 words). Handwritten letters in Hindi or English can be sent either via Registered Post/Speed Post or delivered in person to the concerned Senior Superintendent of Post Office / Superintendent of Post Office. Participants must provide a self-attested certificate regarding their age, stating whether they are under or over 18 years.
The best three letters in each sub-category from Madhya Pradesh Circle will be awarded ₹25,000, ₹10,000, and ₹5,000, respectively. These selected letters will be sent to the Directorate in New Delhi to participate in the national-level competition.
At the national level, the Directorate in New Delhi will honor the top three letters in each sub-category with awards of ₹50,000, ₹25,000, and ₹10,000, respectively. The deadline for posting letters is December 14, 2024, and letters posted after this date will not be considered. The results for the selected participants at the circle level will be announced on January 23, 2025.
