CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The 9th Triennial Convention of the All India Train Controllers Association was grandly organized in Ajmer. The chief guest of the event was Bhagirath Choudhary, Union Minister of State (Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare), who praised the work of train controllers and described their role as the “backbone” of Indian Railways in his address.
During this two-day convention, elections for the national executive body were also held. According to the election results, Ajay Singh, Chief Controller of the Bhopal Division, was elected as General Secretary, and Sanjay Katare, also Chief Controller of the Bhopal Division, was elected as Vice President. Their election to these senior positions has brought a wave of joy and enthusiasm not only in the Bhopal Division but across the entire railway sector.
Hundreds of delegates from across the country participated in the event and held extensive discussions on improving the train controlling system. The convention concluded with a commitment to organizational unity, protection of rights, and improvement in working conditions.
