CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Mumbai. Actor Allu Arjun’s upcoming film ‘Raaka’ has entered the Guinness World Records even before its release. The film has set the record for the “most people motion-captured in real time”. During the effort, 37 artistes were recorded simultaneously using motion-capture technology. Guinness World Records officially certified the achievement on September 15, 2026.
To achieve the record, the film’s technical team developed a special motion-capture system. A total of 92 optical motion-capture cameras were used on the set. With the help of these cameras, the movements of 37 artistes were recorded together and in real time. The artistes ranged in age from 4 years to 70 years. The film’s visual effects makers created a separate motion-capture pipeline and workflow for the effort. This included technologies such as camera calibration, networking, synchronization, real-time visualization and facial capture. The record-setting shoot took place in February 2026, while the official certification came in September.
‘Raaka’ is being directed by Atlee and produced under the banner of Sun Pictures. Deepika Padukone also plays a key role alongside Allu Arjun in the film. The film is expected to be released in 2027.
