CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Actor Allu Arjun is being questioned today in the stampede case during the Pushpa-2 premiere. The police sent him a notice late last night, and he has already arrived at the Chikkadpally Police Station. Before leaving, Allu Arjun was seen affectionately bidding goodbye to his daughter, Arha.

The police have also alerted Allu Arjun’s relatives following an attack on his home on December 22. This is not the first time Arjun has been questioned about the case; an earlier interrogation occurred on December 10.

Meanwhile, senior Telangana Congress leader Teenmar Mallanna has filed a complaint against Allu Arjun, director Sukumar, and the producers of Pushpa-2 over a controversial scene in which the actor is shown urinating in a swimming pool while a police officer is also present. Mallanna claims this scene demeans the dignity of police officers.

Victim’s Husband Ready to Withdraw Case

The husband of the woman who died in the stampede, Bhaskar, has expressed willingness to withdraw the case against Allu Arjun, stating he does not hold the actor responsible for the incident. According to NDTV, Bhaskar said the actor has been supportive, especially in aiding his son’s treatment. “From the very next day of the incident, Allu Arjun has been supporting us. This tragedy is our bad luck. We don’t have the strength to fight anymore,” Bhaskar said.

Bhaskar further revealed that his 8-year-old son, Sri Tej, is a fan of the actor and attended the screening because of his admiration. The boy has been in a coma for the past 20 days, occasionally opening his eyes but unable to recognize anyone. “We don’t know how long it will take for his recovery,” Bhaskar added.

Attack on Allu Arjun’s Home

On December 22, a group from Hyderabad’s Osmania University vandalized Allu Arjun’s home, leading to the arrest of eight suspects. Among them, six were granted bail on December 23.

Political Allegations

BRS leader Krishank claimed that one of the suspects granted bail was a close aide of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Krishank posted pictures of the accused posing with the Chief Minister, stating that the attacker, Reddy Srinivas, was not a student leader from Osmania University but a close associate of Revanth Reddy and a former candidate for the Kodangal Congress in the 2019 ZPTC elections.

Allu Arjun’s Arrest in Stampede Case

Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 in connection with the stampede incident that occurred on December 4. He was presented before the local court and sent to 14 days of judicial custody. Later, Arjun appealed for interim bail in the Telangana High Court and was granted bail on a personal bond of ₹50,000. Following his release, Arjun was briefly held in Chanchalguda Central Jail before being released the next morning around 6:30 AM.

Allu Arjun’s Press Conference

After his release, Arjun held a press conference and said, “This was an unfortunate accident. I was with my family watching the movie, and the incident happened outside. I have no direct connection to this. I fully stand with the victim’s family and will help them in every way possible.”

Referring to the cinema, he said, “I’ve been visiting this theater for over 20 years, more than 30 times, but nothing like this has ever happened. It’s extremely unfortunate. I am deeply sorry for this incident.”

The stampede, which occurred during the Pushpa-2 premiere on December 4 in Hyderabad, claimed the life of a woman and left her son critically injured. On Monday, the victim’s husband stated that he does not hold Allu Arjun responsible for the tragedy.
