CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Despite fluctuations in the wealth of India’s leading businessmen Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, both continue to hold top positions among the country’s most influential billionaires. According to Fortune India’s 2026 Top 100 Billionaires list, the total wealth of India’s top 100 billionaires has increased by ₹3.96 lakh crore over the past year to reach ₹90.98 lakh crore.

The Reliance Group, led by Mukesh Ambani, continues to maintain a strong position in India’s corporate sector through its energy, telecom, retail and digital businesses. Gautam Adani’s group, meanwhile, continues to expand across airports, ports, energy, infrastructure and other sectors. Fluctuations in the shares of both business groups also affect the wealth of their promoter families.

Amid recent market volatility, Adani’s personal wealth has also seen changes. A recent report stated that his net worth increased by around $3.4 billion.

The Fortune India report also says that despite global economic challenges and market instability, the collective wealth of India’s top billionaires has grown. This indicates the strong hold of large industrial groups in the Indian business sector.
