CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Death Anniversary Observed at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication

The SC-ST Cell of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCU) observed the death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at its new Bishankhedi campus.

On the occasion of Mahaparinirvan Diwas, a program was organized at the SC-ST Cell office. The convener, Pradeep Daheriy, shed light on Dr. Ambedkar’s life and contributions. Co-convener and departmental president of MP Ajaks MCU, Gyaneshwar Dhoke, highlighted Baba Saheb’s role as the liberator of the oppressed. He remarked that Dr. Ambedkar dedicated his life to the upliftment of the exploited and underprivileged, raising awareness about their human rights and ensuring their access to them. Dhoke emphasized that Ambedkar’s ideology was deeply rooted in humanism.

The tribute program was attended by departmental president of the MP State Employees Union, Kodai Verma, along with Vivek Shakya, Toran Singh, Poonamchand Bhavhar, Arun Ahirwar, Sandeep Rajawat, Hemendra Khare, Mukesh Chaudhary, Manoj Varte, Milind Jamte, Suman Gajbhiye, Manisha Parte, Suman Barde, Usha, Anita, Saroj Rajutkar, Pramila Godbole, Vijay Dongre, Anil Mehta, Rajkumar Napit, Purushottam Dhanmeria, Bala Prasad, and several others.

Separately, the Department of Mass Communication also commemorated Dr. Ambedkar’s death anniversary. Head of the Department Arti Sarang, Professor Sanjay Dwivedi, and coordinator Pradeep Daheriy lit lamps before Dr. Ambedkar’s portrait to pay homage. Faculty members, staff, and students of the department were present on the occasion.
