CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Essay and Debate Competition on “Education and Equality” Held at Sant Hirdaram Girls’ Science College
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated with reverence and enthusiasm at Sant Hirdaram Girls’ Science College through a special program on the theme “Education and Equality.” The event was conducted in accordance with the directives received from the Department of Higher Education.
As part of the celebration, essay and debate competitions were organized in which more than 50 students actively participated. The students expressed their views on the principles of education, equality, and social justice laid down by Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
The competitions were evaluated by Ms. Akanksha Arora, Head of the Commerce Department, and Assistant Professor Geetanshi Button from the English Department. Both judges provided fair assessments and guided the participants with valuable insights.
College Principal, Ms. Dalima Parwani, was present at the event. She encouraged the students by sharing insights about Dr. Ambedkar’s life and contributions and praised all participants for their efforts. She also extended heartfelt congratulations and thanks to the event coordinators—Dr. Shanti Sharma (NCC Officer), Ms. Sonia Sharma (IIC and E-Cell In-Charge), and Vibha Khare (NSS Officer)—for making the event a success.
This program served not only as a tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution but also as an inspiration for students to internalize the values of education, equality, and justice.
