CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A 20-member team from the Fulbright-Hays GPA Hindi Curriculum Development Project, developed through a joint effort of the Young Hindi Institute in New Jersey (USA) and New York University, actively participated in ‘Bhasha Samvad’ and various programs hosted by Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal. Notably, the study team included Hindi experts and professors from 11 universities across the United States.
On this occasion, the poster for Vishwa Rang International Hindi Olympiad 2025 was unveiled by the guests. Additionally, the book ‘Selected Works of America,’ prepared by the Pravasi Bharatiya Sahitya evam Sanskriti Research Center and published by AISECT Publications, was also released. The event was coordinated and conducted by Dr. Jawahar Karnawat, Director of the International Hindi Center.
Santosh Choubey, Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, and Director of Vishwa Rang, stated that the deep faith in patriotism, mother tongue, and Indian culture has enabled the Indian diaspora and people of Indian origin to not only preserve Hindi globally but also explore new possibilities for its expansion. These efforts, driven by self-motivation, must be unified to build a global Hindi family and network. Vishwa Rang and Rabindranath Tagore University have already made this possible. An International Teaching and Training Center will be established at Tagore University, dedicated to preserving and utilizing global Hindi teaching methodologies.
Ashok Ojha, Program Director of the Fulbright-Hays GPA Project, emphasized that the Young Hindi Institute and New York University’s initiative aims to provide American language educators and teacher trainees with a formal understanding of Indian culture. This knowledge will enable them to develop high-quality Hindi courses on cultural topics upon their return to the U.S.
Professor Gabriela Nik Ileva, a senior Hindi professor at New York University, shared her insights on “Various Dimensions of Stories in Indian Folk Culture and Narrative Representations in Historical Architectural Sculptures.”
Director Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, Pro-Chancellor of RNTU, highlighted the 40-year journey of AISECT Network and AGU.
Director Amitabh Saxena presented the framework of the Neev curriculum.
Director R.P. Dubey, Vice-Chancellor of RNTU, also shared his views on Hindi education.
The vote of thanks was given by Sanjay Singh Rathore, Secretary of the Vishwa Rang Secretariat.
