CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal   /  Raipur /  Chhattisgarh  :  Union Home Minister Amit Shah honoured the security forces for their exemplary performance in ‘Operation Black Forest’, a major anti-Naxal mission in Chhattisgarh. Shah praised the bravery of CRPF, Chhattisgarh Police, District Reserve Guard (DRG), and Cobra Force personnel who successfully dismantled a key Naxal base camp at Karregutta hills despite challenging terrain, extreme heat, and IED threats.

Addressing the personnel, Amit Shah said that the Modi government will not rest until all Naxals either surrender, are captured, or are eliminated. He highlighted the persistent threat posed by Naxal insurgency in underdeveloped regions, which has historically disrupted schools, hospitals, and government welfare schemes.

Shah emphasized that continuous anti-Naxal operations have positively impacted the lives of over 6.5 crore people across India. He reiterated that the government is fully committed to creating an LWE-free India by March 31, 2026, and assured support for injured security personnel to ensure their well-being.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma were also present at the event. Amit Shah called on security forces to continue acting with high morale and discipline, and urged officers to ensure that Naxal activities are eliminated while safeguarding civilian lives.

This operation marks a significant milestone in India’s counter-insurgency efforts and demonstrates the government’s determination to secure affected regions, strengthen governance, and restore normalcy in Naxal-affected areas.
