CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: Lucknow. Amid preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday addressed a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s state working committee. During the meeting, he praised the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said the Yogi government had played an important role in eliminating the mafia from the state. He lauded the Chief Minister for improvements in law and order and the effective implementation of development schemes.
Infusing enthusiasm among party workers, Amit Shah said the BJP’s position in Uttar Pradesh is as strong as Angad’s foot and cannot be moved by anyone. He claimed the BJP would form the government in the state for a third consecutive time. Shah called on workers to put in their full strength with the upcoming Assembly elections as their target. He said all workers would have to keep their focus on the goal like Arjun.
During the meeting, Shah also stressed ending internal differences and resentment within the party. He appealed to leaders and workers to set aside personal ambitions and internal tussles and work to strengthen the organisation. He conveyed that mutual resentment should be allowed to flow away in the Gomti river, and that everyone should engage in strengthening the organisation and preparing for the elections.
Amit Shah also targeted Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He criticised the opposition for raising questions over the Election Commission and the voting process after electoral defeats. Shah said the BJP is ready for a discussion on the issue in Parliament and, if needed, a special session could also be called. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, both Deputy Chief Ministers and senior party office-bearers were present at the meeting.
