CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: AMRUT 2.0 Project Initiated in Ward 46 by MLA Sabnani and Mayor Malti Rai

Under the South-West Assembly constituency, the AMRUT 2.0 project was officially inaugurated in Ward 46 by the popular MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani and Mayor Malti Rai. On this occasion, Mr. Sabnani stated that Bhopal is renowned as the City of Lakes, and it is our responsibility to preserve its beauty. As part of this initiative, work has commenced on a sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 10 lakh liters.

Once constructed, this plant will significantly improve the water quality of the nearby pond. The project is being executed under the Government of India’s flagship scheme AMRUT 2.0. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is continuously working for the city’s development. Through the recent GIS Summit, several new milestones have been achieved, and many upcoming projects will not only enhance the beauty of the constituency but also improve civic amenities.

Mayor Malti Rai informed that approximately ₹2 crore will be spent on constructing this sewage treatment plant, which will be based on advanced SVR (Sequential Vertical Reactor) technology.

The event witnessed the presence of Mayor-in-Council member R.K. Singh Baghel, zone presidents and councilors Brijula Sachan and Aarti Raju Anejha, councilor Girija Rajesh Khatik, Mandal President Priyesh Upadhyay, senior leaders Mahesh Joshi, Asha Paroche, Tulsi Ram Rajak, Ramsagar Yadav, Hariom Giri, Shiva Chauhan, Manjeet Kaur, Seema Sharma, Taruna Chauhan, Upendra Giri, Rita Chauhan, and Naveen Rajak, along with a large number of local residents.
