CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: For students preparing for admission to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), the admission process for some courses may differ from the usual entrance examination route. The university has prescribed different modes of admission depending on the course. Students should therefore check the admission conditions and official notification for the relevant course before applying.

Admission to several undergraduate courses at AMU is conducted through the entrance examination prescribed by the university. For example, an open competitive examination is held for admission to the BSc Agriculture course. This makes it clear that admission without an entrance examination is not applicable to all courses.

For some courses, admission may be based on other prescribed modes, eligibility criteria or a relevant national-level examination. Students should therefore check which admission process AMU has specified for the course in which they wish to take admission.

The office of the Controller of Examinations of the university has advised candidates to visit the official admission portal for information related to admissions and examinations. Before applying, candidates should verify details including the course, educational qualifications, mode of admission, last date for application and required documents.

Therefore, “admission without an entrance examination” is not a system applicable to all courses. This facility or alternative mode of admission may be available only in accordance with the official rules of the relevant course.
