CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Executive Professor Ajay Singh at AIIMS adheres to a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging. The institution does not accept any form of ragging, and strict action is taken against anyone who attempts it. To ensure zero ragging on the AIIMS campus, an anti-ragging session was organized for MBBS students from the 2021, 2022, and 2023 batches. During this session, the students were informed about the anti-ragging rules enforced in the institution.
The harmful effects of ragging on the academic environment of the medical college were highlighted, and students were urged to report any incidents immediately to the anti-ragging committee, squad, or hostel superintendents. Additionally, new students were encouraged to focus on their studies.
Students can always reach out to the UGC helpline at 1800-180-5522 to share their concerns. Anyone involved in ragging will be punished according to UGC guidelines. In the same context, today, B.Sc. Nursing students of the 2024 batch were also informed about issues related to ragging. They were encouraged to create Instagram reels, short videos, and e-posters related to anti-ragging awareness.
Various activities are being organized during Anti-Ragging Week to create a positive environment among the students and help them focus their energy in the right direction.
