CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club, Bhopal Legacy, the Chemistry Department of Shri Sathya Sai Women’s College organized an awareness program on cervical cancer.
The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Neelkamal Kapoor, retired HOD of Pathology and Lab Medicine from AIIMS. In his address, Dr. Kapoor highlighted that cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women worldwide, with approximately 660,000 new cases annually. He provided detailed information on cervical cancer and educated the students about prevention and treatment of this deadly disease.
The college’s Director, Pratibha Singh, and Principal, Archana Srivastava, welcomed the guests in traditional Indian style by presenting them with saplings. On this significant occasion, Inner Wheel Club President Arpana Vashishtha, PDC Madhulika Chandra from Inner Wheel Club Bhopal Legacy, members Poonam and Asha Ma’am, Renu Mishra (Vice Principal), faculty members, and all the students of the college were present.
Dr. Neena Arora, Head of the Chemistry Department, outlined the program, and Ayesha, a BSc student, successfully anchored the event.
