CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A grand four-day induction program was inaugurated at Sant Hirdaram Girls’ College, Bhopal, for newly admitted students. The objective of the program is to familiarize the students with the college’s academic activities, rules, and opportunities for holistic development.
The first session of the program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana. On this occasion, Principal Dalima Parwani addressed the students, stating that college life is not limited to acquiring knowledge—it is a time for building one’s personality and laying the foundation of self-confidence. She emphasized that Sant Hirdaram Girls’ College not only provides quality education but also inspires students to become responsible citizens enriched with leadership, innovation, and ethical values.
She further added that the college offers various platforms such as sports, cultural activities, NSS, NCC, women empowerment, and entrepreneurship development, through which students can refine their skills. She urged students to attend college regularly, practice concentration, and work hard.
Faculty members of the college also interacted with the students and introduced them to their subjects and departmental activities.
In the second session, renowned career guide and education expert Ms. Shweta Keswani, Director of Dreams Global Educational Services, gave an in-depth talk on the topic “Higher Education and Career Counseling.” She guided the students on opportunities in higher education, available courses in India and abroad, scholarships, career prospects, and how to make informed decisions.
She emphasized that career counseling is not limited to selecting a course but plays a vital role in the overall development and future planning of a student. She encouraged students to focus on self-study, effective time management, and vocabulary enhancement. She also discussed building LinkedIn profiles and introduced various AI tools and their applications. The interactive session was full of knowledge and energy for the students.
