CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant Wedding Live: After months of pre-wedding festivities, billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani and his fiancée Radhika Merchant tied the knot on Friday at Jio World Drive in Mumbai. The event turned into a spectacular affair with numerous entertainment industry luminaries in attendance. From socialite Kim Kardashian, Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan and “Superstar” Rajinikanth to American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas, Hollywood actor John Cena and Bollywood icons Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the who’s who arrived to celebrate with the Ambanis. Anant is the heir to Mukesh Ambani whose net worth is estimated to be $120 billion.
Just a day before the wedding, American influencer Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe Kardashian landed in India as did John Cena and rapper Rema. This is Kim’s first trip to India. Former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson also arrived in India on Thursday night.
Along with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, Aamir Khan was also expected to be a part of the festivities. However, Aamir was conspicuous by his absence. The Khans performed a special dance number at the Jamnagar festivities in March, which was a treat for the fans. The event in Jamnagar hosted almost 1200 guests and saw guests like Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, Karlie Kloss, and Mark Zuckerberg, among others. Rihanna performed her first ever concert in eight years at this event. Diljit Dosanjh was also one of the performers at this function.
The Ambani family then hosted many celebrities on a three-day cruise across France and Italy in June. Shah Rukh Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor and many other celebrities were in attendance here. On the cruise, Katy Perry, Backstreet Boys and Pitbull performed for the guests. In Portofino, Andrea Bocelli performed for the guests. Justin Bieber performed at Anant and Radhika’s sangeet ceremony.
