CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has raised concerns over the declining population in rural areas, warning that villages are becoming increasingly empty. Speaking at a recent event, Naidu emphasized the need for urgent measures to address the exodus of people from villages to cities.

The CM noted that the younger population is migrating in search of better education and employment opportunities, leaving behind an aging population and diminishing resources in rural areas. This demographic shift is leading to a loss of traditional lifestyles, agricultural practices, and a weakened local economy.

Naidu has called for strategic interventions to improve infrastructure, create job opportunities, and revitalize rural economies to prevent further depopulation. The issue highlights a growing challenge in Andhra Pradesh, as urbanization continues to pull people away from their roots, threatening the long-term sustainability of rural communities.
