CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the Seva Sankalp campaign, the Angan Milan Seva programme of the Southwest Assembly constituency was organised by the BJP Mahila Morcha at Hindi Bhavan. MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, Mayor Malati Rai, district president Ravindra Yati, Mahila Morcha president Priyanka Mishra and Dr. Priya Bhave Chittawar were specially present at the programme.
The Women and Child Development Department is organising Angan Milan Seva programmes in every anganwadi in the city until October 5. On the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s service, good governance and dedication, 40 anganwadi workers and helpers who have rendered 25 years of service were honoured with the Excellent Service Award.
At the programme, baby shower ceremonies were held for pregnant women and they were presented with gifts. Five girls who are beneficiaries of the Ladli Laxmi Yojana were honoured with certificates and gifts. The Pach ritual was performed for Priyanka and her four-month-old child Aarvik by presenting a cradle, clothes, sweets and fruits.
Addressing the programme, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani said respecting women is part of everyone’s values, and that people are taught from childhood to honour women. “I bow to all of you sisters. It is my good fortune that I got the opportunity to attend such a good programme,” he said.
He said the Angan Milan Seva programme is being organised on the occasion of the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s service, good governance and dedication. He said the Prime Minister’s vision and schemes are being successfully implemented across the state by Mohan Yadav.
“In my Assembly constituency, there are 117 anganwadi centres, most of which I have visited. I have prepared a list of all anganwadi centres and given it to Minister Nirmala Bhuria, requesting her to ensure that whatever shortcomings exist in any anganwadi are addressed at the earliest and facilities there are expanded,” Sabnani said.
He added that he too has provided all possible assistance to anganwadi centres. The programme was also addressed by Mayor Malati Rai and district president Ravindra Yati.
BJP general secretary Mukesh Rai, Mayor-in-Council member RK Singh Baghel, zone chairperson and councillor Aarti Raju Aneja, councillor and zone chairperson Brijula Sachan, councillors Girja Rajesh Khatik, Pooja Sharma, Vinita Soni, Kusum Chaturvedi and Anita Shukraware, along with officials of the Women and Child Development Department, were present at the programme.
