CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the ‘Seva Se Sankalp’ (Seva Pakhwada) campaign being conducted to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birth anniversary celebrations, an ‘Aangan Milan Seva’ programme was organised at Amrai in Bagsewania, Anganwadi Centre No. 735, in Bhopal’s Govindpura Assembly constituency.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Krishna Gaur conducted a close inspection of the Anganwadi centre, interacted with young children and took information about their creative activities. She also planted saplings on the premises and gave a message of environmental protection.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) Gaur said Anganwadi workers are faithfully carrying out the sacred responsibility of the all-round development, education and nutrition of children from deprived and needy sections of society. She said these centres are not merely a medium for nutrition distribution, but are also places where children receive education, values and a sense of motherly affection.
She said honouring these dedicated workers through the ‘Seva Se Sankalp’ campaign was in itself a matter of great pride and satisfaction.
During the programme, Anganwadi workers and assistants from the area who have rendered outstanding services were honoured for their exemplary contribution. The guests appreciated the paintings and activities prepared by the children and distributed affectionate gifts to them.
On the occasion, Minister of State Pratima Bagri, Jyoti Singh, Ashwini Paranjape, Sapna Verma, Mona Sustani, Pragya Tripathi, Monika Thakur and Sheela Patidar, along with a large number of public representatives, social workers and local citizens, were present.
