Conversation Highlights
Q: Two of your films are releasing this Sankranti. How do you feel?
A: I feel very excited and happy. I recently learned about the release of my second film as well. Sankranti is a major festival for any artist. Working alongside renowned actors like Ram Charan and Vishal in both films has been a privilege. I’m eagerly waiting to see how the audience responds. When I was first narrated the story of ‘Game Changer,’ I learned my character’s name is Parvati, which is also my mother’s name, Parvati Devi. This film is special to me as I’ve worked very hard for it. Playing Parvati was challenging, and it had a profound impact on me during the shoot.
Q: What challenges did you face while working on this film?
A: I initially thought I’d win awards for my acting, and I’m happy the audience shares the same sentiment. During the shoot, I faced many challenges as this role had multiple layers. Unlike other roles, where I draw from personal experiences, Parvati’s character required me to portray emotions I hadn’t experienced before, which was difficult yet rewarding.
Q: What’s your character’s journey alongside Appanna in the film?
A: I play Appanna’s wife, portrayed by Ram Charan. Our bonding is beautifully depicted, and there are several surprises about the characters that haven’t been revealed in the trailer. Appanna and Parvati’s relationship is the heart of the story.
Q: How was your on-screen chemistry with Ram Charan?
A: Ram Charan is the best co-actor. His positive energy made it easier for me to give my best. He’s calm, kind, and respects everyone on set, from the lightman to the director.
Q: How did you feel when offered a film with Ram Charan?
A: I was thrilled! It’s my first collaboration with Shankar Sir, and working with Ram Charan and Dil Raju’s production made it even more special. It’s exciting to see the positive response to our pairing.
Q: What’s it like working with Shankar and Ram Charan as a Telugu actress?
A: It’s an honor. I feel proud not just for myself but for all Telugu actresses. Trusting the process and choosing the right scripts has always been my approach, and ‘Game Changer’ felt right from the moment I heard the story.
Q: Is Parvati your dream role?
A: I never had a specific dream role, but if I had one, it would have been Parvati in ‘Game Changer.’
Q: Tell us about the song ‘Arugu Meeda.’
A: It’s going to be incredible! The visuals are stunning, and I’m sure the audience will love it.
Q: You’ve worked with Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan. When will we see you with Chiranjeevi?
A: I’ll ask him when I meet him! I think the time has come.
Q: Both you and Ram Charan are playing characters older than your actual ages. How was that experience?
A: We both loved our roles. Charan was very passionate about playing Appanna, and the credit for our seamless chemistry goes to him. Watching our performances on-screen will be a treat for the audience. For this role, I adopted a 90s look with bindis and turmeric on my face, a significant shift from my usual roles as the girl-next-door.
Q: How was it working with Dil Raju’s production again?
A: I’m delighted. Dil Raju’s production house is known for great films, and as an actress, I feel proud to be associated with them.
