CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, Antar Singh Arya, visited BHEL Madhya Pradesh. During his visit, he held a meeting with the office bearers of the Scheduled Tribes Employees’ Association. The discussion focused on various security measures and programs implemented for the development of Scheduled Tribes. Chairman Arya also addressed issues related to the functioning of BHEL, such as promotions, transfers, and other challenges faced by Scheduled Tribe employees.
Director Arya urged Scheduled Tribe employees to work towards promoting their culture and heritage. In a review meeting with BHEL Bhopal’s Executive Director and senior officials (all GMs and DROs), the Commission suggested establishing a separate cultural hall, a temple for religious practices, a library featuring books on tribal warriors, and a park named after tribal personalities for Scheduled Tribe employees.
Director Arya expressed satisfaction with the work of BHEL’s Coordination and Grievance Redressal Cell for Scheduled Tribe employees. He highlighted the importance of preserving culture, heritage, and religious practices among Scheduled Tribes. Additionally, he recommended organizing youth dialogue programs to encourage tribal youth and urged the provision of employment opportunities for them.
The meeting was attended by members of the Scheduled Tribes Commission and BHEL officials.
