Anupam Chouksey Joins Tripartite Delegation
Dr. Anupam Chouksey is part of the Indian Government’s tripartite delegation, which includes key stakeholders from the government, employers, and workers’ organizations. He is representing the Indian Small Industries Council—an institution that serves as the backbone of the country’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Prominent industrial bodies such as the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), ASSOCHAM, SCOPE, and PHD Chamber of Commerce are also part of this delegation.
India Raises Industrial and Labour Interests on Global Stage
The prestigious conference is being held in Geneva, Switzerland, until 13 June 2025. Delegates from 187 ILO member countries are engaging in discussions on crucial topics like social security, safe workplaces, and inclusive development.

Vandana Gurnani, Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, is leading the Indian delegation. Hon’ble Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also attended the conference, showcasing India’s robust presence on the global labour platform.

Representing the workers’ unions, Dr. Virat Jaiswal, National General Secretary of NFITU and Deputy Registrar at LNCT University, amplified the concerns of the unorganized labour sector, making a significant contribution to global worker discourse.
India’s Crucial Role in the Informal Economy Committee
Dr. Anupam Chouksey has been nominated to the ILO’s Informal Economy Committee, which focuses on the rights, safety, and working conditions of unorganized workers in developing countries—a highly significant role for a country like India.

To honor the Indian delegation, Arindam Bagchi, Ambassador of India to Switzerland, hosted a special dinner reception. All Indian representatives attended the event, marking a moment of national pride.
