CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Apollo Knowledge and the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on healthcare research, education and workforce development. The partnership brings together Apollo’s clinical ecosystem with BITS Pilani’s expertise in engineering, technology and data science.
Under the collaboration, clinicians and BITS Pilani researchers will explore joint research addressing clinical and healthcare-related challenges. The specific research areas will be identified as the partnership develops.
The two institutions will also work on Work Integrated Learning programmes for healthcare professionals. These programmes are intended to enable doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and healthcare managers to pursue educational qualifications while continuing in their professional roles. Potential areas include healthcare logistics and supply chain management, pharmacy and hospital finance.
The partnership will further explore technology-focused learning programmes for students across Apollo’s educational institutions and partner colleges. Specialised programmes in allied health and healthcare technology are also planned, combining BITS Pilani’s technology capabilities with clinical training within Apollo hospitals.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Apollo Hospitals Group Founder-Chairman Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Executive Vice Chairperson Dr. Preetha Reddy and BITS Pilani Group Vice-Chancellor Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao.
The collaboration is aimed at strengthening the link between healthcare practice, technology education and applied research while supporting the development of skilled professionals for India’s evolving healthcare sector.
