CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Apple has finally launched its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo. The company unveiled the device at its ‘Surprise and Shine’ event held on September 9. Its starting price in India has been set at ₹2,99,900, while prices in the global market start at $1,999.

The iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display. When folded, it becomes compact, and when opened, it turns into a large-screen device. According to Apple, this is the largest iPhone display so far. The phone comes with the new A20 Pro chipset, dual 48MP rear cameras and iOS 27. It has Touch ID instead of Face ID, and storage options range from 256GB to 2TB. Pre-orders in India will begin on October 16, while sales are reported to start from October 23, 2026. Apple’s entry into the foldable segment is expected to intensify competition with Samsung and other companies in the premium smartphone market.
